The Curse

Good-bye cute shoes. Good-bye sports, the gym, and walking around the mall for hours. Good-bye being able to run errands in a timely manner. Good-bye skinny jeans with my new boots. Good-bye flats in the snow with no traction.

The curse of soccer has once again hit our family. Evan tore his ACL during the first soccer game of the season last year, so when he made it through our first soccer game this year healthy as can be- we were excited. But... I did not! I thought that I just sprained my ankle. A few weeks later and I am still sore and swollen so I went to the doctor yesturday. I tore a few ligaments and now I have to have surgery. Why do we play stupid sports like soccer? Wish me luck, I do not do well with pain. Once the swelling goes down I will be able to make an appointment for the big event...

At least it is my turn to be babied by my spouse!

Heather! I'm so sorry about the ankle! When is surgery? Does Evan need coaching in 'how to baby his spouse'? How can we help?

Wow Heather! I'm so sorry! When is your surgery? We need to send you a care package for it.
