Utah Valley Marathon

Evan was post three weeks from the Ogden Marathon and still ran Utah Valley.  Since I missed about 4 months of training because of morning sickness, I just watched. Evans sister ran it as well and we son ran the kids 1k. Lucy, Connor and I cheered for all the runners at the finish line and then went over to his race. He zoomed through the finish line so fast I missed him! But all 1200 kids were all wearing white so I use that as my excuse for missing him :) I'm so proud of both Evan and his sister. They are amazing!

Disneyland Trip

I can't believe I waited 7 months to take Lucy to my favorite place. She loved it! She kept everyone around us entertained in line and giggled on all the rides. I kept her in the baby bjorn on all the rides so she had a great view. Since she was wearing her first visit pin, all the workers would congratulate her and she would just babble right back at them. She thought she was hot stuff that everyone was talking to her.

We went on every ride but all the mountain rides, which was fine because we had two babies that wanted to keep going and not wait for someone to leave them off a ride. Her favorite was Its a Small World because of the boat, music and lights. She couldn't stop looking around.

It was a fun day with my sister and sister in law. We didn't get the sword out but we tried and tried.

Cali trip #2

Lu and I were lucky enough to go to California again. My little brother is on leave from his deployment in Turkey so we hoped on a plane to see him.
It was a crazy day for my parents trying to pick everyone up from all the airports in So Cal, but because they live us they did (first LAX, then San Diego, back to LAX, an then Long beach for us). Because Lucy is the most adorable little thing, we were upgraded to first class on our flight there and Lucy got her own seat!
Saturday and Sunday were awesome. All my siblings except for my oldest brother were in town.

Lucy had so much fun with all her boy cousins; she is the only girl on my side. Monday my mom, sister in law and Lucy's BFF cousin Jax went to the National Cemetery to burry my grandma who passed about a month ago. While we were there, we went to the grave sites for both sets of grandparents and Lucy was able to meet one of her namesakes. My dad's mom is one of the three Lucys that she is named after.

Jaxon and Lucy had a lot of bonding time. These two are only four months apart so they are so cute together. Jax doesn't know why Lucy doesn't walk and she can't figure out why he sucks on a binky but they do love each other.

Lucy go her first bruise. She doesn't sit very well on her own and fell in the tub when a certain cousin wanted a toy from her. She also cruised around in a little it car in the back yard. She felt invincible and ran into anyone in her way.

On our trip, we hiked, went to Disneyland, BBQ'ed every night, swam, shopped, and spent lots of time catching up with each other. I love that Lucy is such a good traveler and goes with the flow. Now it's time to get back on a schedule and finish a few last things to make our house feel like a home.
