Birthday Weekend/Memorial Day Weekend

I love when my birthday falls near Memorial Day because that means I get to celebrate for extra time and Evan has work off! We started the weekend on Thursday for my birthday dinner, then Friday had FroYo at my favorite place USwirl (seriously the best hands down), Saturday we went to lunch at Olive Garden and then on a hike up the side I a cliff with our good friends Dallin and Kourtney, and then Monday we went to a BBQ to swim, play tennis, and hang out with friends.

On the way back down the mountain on our hike, there was a moose in the middle of the trail. We stood and watched it eat for about 5 minutes before he went in his way. It was a beautiful hike up to the waterfall and Lucy loved being out she kept looking around. Every so often she would look up at me to make sure I was still there, it was cute.

Never Ending Sickness

Around the middle of February I started getting more upset stomachs than usual. I brushed it off and tried to take more vitamins and eating better. I started a juice detox to see if that would help. It didn't. A few weeks later I took a pregnancy test, and knowing my history, KNEW it would be negative.  I started cleaning and making dinner and going about my day forgetting what was on the bathroom counter.  I came back in the bathroom about an hour later to grab something and say two lines!!! Like any other normal person I took about 4 more tests; they were all positive. The next day I took 8 more, and again positive. I told Evan the first night, an he didn't believe me right away.

I've been sick, the whole family had a bad flu for about 2 weeks in March, I still have bad morning sickness somedays, smells set me off, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I am so excited to welcome another baby into our home. I think Lucy had a friend up in heaven that she really wanted here with her.

I am almost 18 weeks along and we are due November 1 (Lucy was born Oct 29 so they will be a year apart).

Spring Weather

Yesterday when I arrived at the gym, they told me that the kids club was full. I waited for about 10 minutes and it was still full so Lucy and I took advantage of the warm spring weather. Since I already put some effort into exercising for the day, we went to the Jordan River Trail and jogged for about 45 minutes then sat and played in the grass for a while. I loved being outside! The trail is between a river and a golf course and both are home to so may ducks. Lucy would laugh and squeal whenever a duck would cross our path so we also spent some time watching the ducks and geese swim around. I think she enjoyed being outside as much as I did!
