Four Months

We just got home from Lucy's four month appointment, and she is conked out in her bed from the immunizations.

Weight: 9 lbs 4 oz (1%)

Height: 22.5 inches (4%)

Clothes Size: 0-3 months and 3 months

Diaper Size: 1

Eats: 5-6 ounces every 3 hours

Sleeps: from 8 pm to 6 am and then again until about 9am. She naps for about 2 hours twice a day

First: intentional giggle, sleep over with her cousin Cate, trip to FroYo, trip to the zoo

Personality: Lucy is definitely spunky and sassy. She knows how to play us to get what she wants. She's a really happy baby and hardly cries. She sits and talks to herself in the morning until I pick her up. She has the sweetest smile and melts everyone's hearts. We also learned this month her love for screaming (the same spine-chilling scream that I have); mostly done during sacrament or at the grocery store. I get a lot of dirty looks! But it's so cute when she does it because she has the proudest look on her face when she is done.

House Update #3

We are three weeks into the actual build! Things are moving along on schedule. This week they laid concrete for the driveway, front porch and stairs. We also have plumbing from the street and electrical lines from the street.

President's Day Weekend

This past weekend we packed up all our snow gear and headed to Evan's sister's house. My sister just so happened to be visiting the same town with her roommates at one of their grandma's house. It was so fun to spend time away from Salt Lake and play with our family. Lucy did awesome in the car (we are working on the whole car seat hating right now) and great in a new environment. We went snowmobiling, sledding, ate yummy food, zip-lining, and played lots of Farkle and Wacky Six.

House Update #2

Our house is coming right along. We are about two and a half weeks into the build. All the foundation is poured and set so the rough-ins for the plumbing is starting. So far, we still are in track for a May move in. Evan an I have started looking for the perfect furniture and dreaming of having space!

Runner's High

I just finished watching a documentary on running (sounds lame but it was so interesting) and it got me in the mood for our MANY marathons that Evan and I are running this year. Our first one is in 14 weeks and the next is only 3 weeks after that. Crazy? Yes, but if we are going to train we might as well run a few!

A while back we ran a 5k for a former UVU runner who was recovering from cancer. While I was cleaning off a pile of papers, I found our time chips. Hopefully this gives us motivation to keep going. Evan took 1st in his age division and I took 3rd for my age.

My favorite quote from the movie:
Some talk about a runner's high. For me, the high comes when I am done running.

iPhone training

It's never too young to use an iPhone! Lucy has her own folder of apps on my phone full of flash cards and games that make noises when you tap on them. She has picked up pretty quick on navigating. And if you get a random call from me and I don't talk, it is probably this sweet little girl so say hi to her.

Getting to her folder

She will sit and talk to this monkey for about 5minutes before moving on

House Update #1

Finally a house update! We finally have approval from the city, and our contractor can start working. We break ground on February 4th. About 100 more days until we have our dream home

Three Months

Lu is growing strong. Everyday I fall more in love with her

Weight: 8 lbs 3 oz

Height: 22 inches

Clothes Size: still newborn and a few 0-3 months

Diaper Size: size 1

Eats: 5 to 6 ounces every four hours

Sleeps: 8 to 9 hours (in her crib!) at night and recently NO naps! I want to nap more than she does. *any tips to get her to nap would be awesome

Firsts: I am home full time now, so first week without leaving the house! Trip to Provo to see S and T, play date with Crew, sits in bumbo, full blow blow-out

Personality: She is starting to talk and if you ask for a story, she will share! I love to hear her jabber with herself and smile. She is pretty happy most of the day. When she does nap, it is always on my chest, but I don't mind because then I can nap too!

Christmas 2012

This year we went to California for Christmas. All my siblings but one brother was home. Also, this year there was two new grand babies so my mom loved it! Lucy and I flew down a week early while Evan and my sister Sarah drove down the Friday before. It was fun to be home and spend Christmas in the sun. Lucy was pretty excited to hang with her cousin Jax. Some of the activities included shopping, shooting guns in the canyon, caroling, and lots of family time.

Two Months Old

Lucy turned two months the end of December.

Weight: 7 lbs 3 oz

Height: 21 inches

Clothes Size: she graduated to newborn sizes

Diaper Size: newborn

Eats: 4 to 6 ounces every 4 hours

Sleeps: (on her own) 6 hours a night and naps for about an hour twice a day

First: Cali visit (for Christmas), Christmas, New Years, ear infection

Personality: She definitely is the boss! She likes to help hold her bottle and fusses if you don't let her. She is so sweet and tender
